Our Environment

Environmental Impact

DBS take their environmental responsibility very seriously.  We have introduced many strategies to manage our environmental impact and are working to use all our resources as efficiently as possible in order to reduce our carbon footprint.

Going forward we will be monitoring and measuring our improvements to ensure that we can continue to progress in this area.

The strategies include:-

  • running a paperless office – wherever possible we are reducing the quantity of paper used in our offices and have introduced various technologies in order to carry out projects without printing
  • reducing fuel consumption – engineers are now sharing vans to travel to site, saving fuel and reducing pollution
  • recycling all packaging, and having old equipment collected by the supplier in order for it to be recycled
  • using suppliers who are environmentally responsible producing energy efficient products
  • refurbishing our offices with high efficiency LED lighting, heating and air-conditioning.

Responsible Suppliers

DBS are embracing and adopting new environmental procedures.  One of the results of this is we ensure that we use environmentally responsible suppliers such as Mitsubishi, Daikin and Fujitsu who are committed to reducing their environmental impact. They have also implemented responsible codes of conduct and policies regarding business and labour.

Companies like these are working hard to reduce their impact on the environment and are actively trying to improve their products’ efficiency and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

These suppliers also embrace the circular economy proactively reducing the amount of raw materials required to produce their products, and reducing their waste disposal by increasing recycling.
